Cleansing is one of the most important steps in any skincare routine. A good cleanser removes dirt, makeup, and residue from the surface of your skin without disrupting your skin’s natural lipid barrier.

Foaming cleansers can remove too much from your skin, leaving your face feeling dry, tight, stripped, or squeaky. They can even damage your skin barrier, leading to symptoms like dehydration, acne, and increased sensitivity.

Velvet Cleansing Milk is a rich, emollient cream cleanser that effectively removes dirt, grime, and other buildup while leaving your skin’s natural oils in place. Its cleansing power comes from Olive Oil PEG-7 Esters, a water-soluble form of olive oil that gently bonds to grime on your face and rinses cleanly away.

Fortified with chamomile, aloe, and rice bran oil, it’s a soothing, purifying cleanser that won’t dry out your skin or leave a film.

Velvet Cleansing Milk is an effective but gentle cleanser for skin that's dry, normal, or moderately oily. If you use the double cleansing method, Velvet Cleansing Milk is a second cleanser. It's strong enough to remove sunscreen and light makeup, but waterproof makeup may require an oil cleanser or makeup remover first.

How should I use this cleanser?

Velvet Cleansing Milk should be used twice a day either as your first step or after a cleansing oil/micellar water to remove makeup.

Can this remove makeup?

Velvet Cleansing Milk is strong enough to remove dirt, sunscreen, and light makeup. We would recommend using an oil cleanser prior to use for removal of waterproof makeup.

Coconut Allergy Warning

The Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides in our products are coconut-derived. The Cetearyl Alcohol in the Velvet Cleansing Milk is not. Sodium Cocoamphodiacetate in Night Shift is also coconut derived.

Did the 16oz size change?

Yes, the original large Velvet Cleansing Milk was 16.9oz, and the current size is 16oz. 100% PCR bottles options were only available in this standard size so we made the switch. The other sizes remain the same.
