What payment types do you accept?

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

We hope that you love our products as much as we love making them for you, but if for some reason you decide that it's not the right fit for your skin, we'll be happy to set you up with a new product or refund. United States based customers have 30 days from the date your order arrives to return or exchange any item. To start the hassle-free returns process, just head over to our Returns Center. If you received a damaged item, you are an international customer, or you think you could be allergic to an ingredient, please contact info@stratiaskin.com and we’ll be happy to assist you. Please note that bundles and value sets are final sale and cannot be exchanged.

Can I make changes to an order after I placed it?

Once your order is placed, we have a very limited window to make any changes or cancellations. To request an order change or cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible at info@stratiaskin.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate before your order is fulfilled. Please note that we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.

How much is shipping?

Stratia offers free US shipping on orders over $35 and $7 flat rate shipping. For US orders, we also offer expedited shipping, which arrives within 1-3 business days once shipped (a total of 2-5 days from placing an order, including processing and shipping time). For our international fans, transparent duties, taxes, and shipping options with delivery estimates are available at checkout.

When will my order ship?

Your order will ship within 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday). USA Flat rate shipping arrives within 4-10 days and includes shipping and processing times. USA Expedited shipping arrives within 3-5 days and includes shipping and processing times.

Are there fees associated with International Orders?

For our international fans, transparent duties, taxes, and shipping options with delivery estimates are available at checkout. Duties and taxes will be calculated according to your country's regulations at checkout.

What is subscribe to save?

Subscribe to save is a way for you to ensure that you receive a regular delivery of your favorite Stratia products based on the schedule you select. In addition to ensuring you never run out of your must-haves, you can also save 5% on every order. Subscription options are available internationally. Based on your delivery schedule, you will be charged on a 30, 60, or 90 day cycle once your order ships.

How can I change or cancel my recurring subscription?

To make changes to your subscription, go to stratiaskin.com and login to your account to make any edits. You can change your order frequency, skip a delivery, or cancel your subscription altogether. If you have any issues, please email us at info@stratiaskin.com and we can help!

I've moved! How do I update the shipping address for my subscription order?

To update your subscription mailing address, just sign into your account and click the "Manage Subscriptions" link. If you haven't already created an account, you can create one now and your subscriptions will automatically be linked. Please note: You must update your mailing address in the "Manage Subscriptions" section. Subscription orders are handled separately, and updating your mailing address on your general account will not automatically update your subscription address. We know this is a pain and we're working on it!

Product Questions

Are your products vegan?

C+C Serum, Fortify, Soft Touch AHA, Night Shift, and Velvet Cleansing Milk are vegan. As of December 2022, Rewind is vegan. We stopped using seashell-derived N-Acetyl Glucosamine and began using the same ingredient derived from corn. Lipid Gold uses cholesterol derived from lanolin (the oil on sheep's wool) and is obtained cruelty-free.

Are your products fragrance-free?

Yes, all Stratia products are completely fragrance-free. We are also free of essential oils and fragrant compounds like limonene and linalool.

What if I have an allergy?

All Stratia products are free of any common irritants such as added fragrance and essential oils. Our products are also gluten and dairy free. Many of our ingredients are derived from natural sources but are purified so there is minimal risk for contamination and allergy, but if you have any specific questions please reach out to us at info@stratiaskin.com.

Are you cruelty-free?

Yes, we are cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified! Stratia products and prototypes are only ever tested on human volunteers. Our ingredients and formulations are never tested on animals.

Are your products safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding?

All our products except Night Shift are safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but please consult with your doctor. Night Shift contains retinol, which doctors caution against using while pregnant or breastfeeding.

I have a question about ingredient percentages in a product!

Lipid Gold has 4% niacinamide, and Rewind has 5% niacinamide. Rewind also has 2.5% DMAE and 2.5% panthenol. C+C Serum has 10% L-Ascorbic Acid and 5% Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate. Night Shift has 0.15% retinol. If you have a question about another ingredient, feel free to contact us at info@stratiaskin.com. However, please be aware that we can't release percentages for every ingredient in our formulas, due to proprietary concerns.

In what order should I use your products?

All eight products traditionally go in this order, although feel free to find what works best for you: 1. Velvet Cleansing Milk - use this once or twice a day either as your first step or after a cleansing oil/micellar water to remove makeup. 2. C+C Serum - use this on clean, bare, dry skin, preferably in the morning. 3. Soft Touch AHA - use this on clean, bare, dry skin, preferably in the evening. 4. Rewind - this is a watery essence, so should be used before oils and creams. 5. Fortify - use a few drops before moisturizer. You can also mix a couple drops with your moisturizer in your hand. 6. Lipid Gold - this is a moisturizing lotion with occlusive ingredients, so it should go toward the end of your routine. 7. Interface - this is a moisturizing gel-cream that would be your last step before SPF or night cream. 8. Night Shift - this is a night cream, so it should be the last step of your evening routine.

What's the shelf life of your products?

Most Stratia products are good for at least one year from purchase, if stored in a cool, dry place away from excessive heat and light. The exact expiration date is printed on the bottom or side of the bottle (EXP MM/YY). Manufacture date is printed in the format YYMMDDA. You may use the product at your own risk after the expiration date. The product will usually be safe to use for longer than that, but the effectiveness of the product may go down. Night Shift is good for one year from manufacture, due to the fragile nature of retinol. This means that your bottle may be good for less than a year from purchase. However, we cannot recommend using expired product, and particularly not if you notice any changes in color, texture, or smell. Are the bottles recyclable?

The following bottles are recyclable by unscrewing and discarding the pump or cap: Velvet Cleansing Milk (all sizes), Rewind, Fortify, Soft Touch AHA, and C+C Serum.

What are Stratia's authorized retailers?

How do you pronounce Stratia?

STRAH-tee-uh. The name is based on the different layers of the epidermis (stratum corneum, stratum granulosum, etc.).

Why did Liquid Gold’s name change to Lipid Gold?

There are at least a dozen skincare products out there called Liquid Gold, but Stratia’s Lipid Gold is one of a kind. We renamed it to avoid confusion, as well as to highlight the key lipids that make it so powerful (ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids). Rest assured that though the packaging has evolved with more sustainable focus, all our formulas remain exactly the same, including Lipid Gold.

Are the pumps different on the new packaging (will there be less issues with them)?

Every bottle and pump is brand new! The pumps on all our airless bottles (Lipid Gold, Interface, Night Shift, and C+C Serum) are locking, meaning you’ll never have it spill in your bag. Rewind and Soft Touch AHA have an overcap to prevent the pump from being depressed. Velvet Cleansing Milk has a similar pump to its previous iteration, which twists to lock in place.

Are the new bottles more durable? 4oz breaks a lot…(for ex)

Yes! The types of material we chose are not only more sustainable, but more durable and functional as well.

How is the new packaging more sustainable?

Each skincare bottle is made with 30-100% recycled content. The exact amount of recycled material in each bottle is printed right on the bottle for full transparency. As for boxes, ours are 100% recyclable, printed with vegetable ink and certified by the FSC Forest Stewardship Council which makes sure for every tree used, forests are replenished. Stratia Lab and Headquarters is a closed loop system, where we formulate products then manufacture, hand-bottle, and ship our skincare directly to you from the same location in downtown Los Angeles. This unique approach significantly reduces Stratia's carbon footprint by eliminating the need to ship to separate fillers, assembly locations, and warehouses. 38% less plastic was used to create our new airless bottles. We partnered with Bluebird Climate for Carbon Impact and Sustainability Reports and featured them on each product page of StratiaSkin.com Lipid Gold, formerly known as Liquid Gold, was repackaged to generate 36% less carbon emission and 27% less waste. By using PCR in Lipid Gold’s new packaging, we’ll avoid 1,060lbs of virgin plastic from being used in this product each year.
