Why we use it
Steareth-20 is derived from stearic acid, a fatty acid found naturally in many organisms. It can be used for a variety of purposes, including as a cleansing surfactant, as an emulsifier holding oil and water phases together, or as an emulsion stabilizer keeping actives evenly dispersed in a formula. This last purpose is how Stratia uses Steareth-20.
