Why we use it
Unlike most plant-based oils, jojoba oil is technically a wax ester. That means it contains no triglycerides or fatty acids, and it also means interesting things for your skin. Your skin’s natural oil, called sebum, is also a waxy lipid that helps keep everything healthy and waterproof. Jojoba oil is the most similar plant-based substance to your natural sebum, helping to moisturize skin without clogging pores.
