Why we use it
N-acetyl glucosamine works in a number of ways to brighten, hydrate, and firm your skin. First, it’s a tyrosinase inhibitor, meaning it helps fade hyperpigmentation. It’s a precursor to hyaluronic acid, helping your skin maintain its moisture content. It also can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It works best when combined with niacinamide, like it is in Rewind. In December 2022 we switched our source for NAG from seashell-derived to a vegan corn alternative.
